Introducing the Front Range GigaPoP and BiSON West

Scott Baily (UCAR), Corey Bryndal (Region 10) and Nate Walowitz (Project Thor) will provide an introduction to the Front Range GigaPoP (FRGP), which has been fulfilling the high bandwidth and reliability requirements of Colorado’s and Wyoming’s research and education communities since 1999. This session will inform the audience about its partnerships, policies and current projects, including BiSON-West. The FRGP’s partnerships with Region 10 and Project Thor may be of particular interest to attendees from Colorado, as well as the potential to better serve public sector entities such as school districts, museums, and libraries.
