Edge computing and networking will see an exponential growth overtaking the growth curve of Cloud computing and networking. This will be possible due to the hundreds of billions of dollars of new fiber infrastructure which will be deployed in the next 3-5 years. Two Dimensional Middle Mile networks are the perfect enablers of edge computing nodes allowing it to reach the masses in urban and specially in rural areas. These middle mile networks will be instrumental in preventing the digital divide of latency. This session will discuss how 2D Middle Mile networks enable edge computing and networking while providing latencies necessary for the technologies of tomorrow.
