Anchor Institutions: The Key to BEAD’s Success
August 8 – 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm
Room 5

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act focuses on bringing high-speed broadband to unserved households and gigabit capacity to anchor institutions. These are not contradictory goals. Connecting the schools, libraries, and municipal buildings with multi-gigabit, open access connections can make it easier and economically feasible to connect unserved households. This panel will explore the opportunity to use anchor institutions as jumping off points to achieve the BEAD program goal of connecting unserved and underserved homes.”
