
Ramón S. Hobdey-Sánchez
Idaho Commerce: Broadband Development Manager
Ramón S. Hobdey-Sánchez is Idaho’s State Broadband Program Manager with the Idaho Department of Commerce’s Office of Broadband. Ramón has spent his entire professional career in state service, which includes 7+ years at the Idaho Transportation Department as a Project Manager in the Office of Governmental Affairs. Ramón’s service has included political and policy advising as well as extensive experience with legislative presentations and managing an array of policy projects.
During 2021 and 2022, Ramón managed the State’s broadband administrative rulemakings, which provided him first-hand involvement and knowledge of broadband policy, infrastructure and connectivity in Idaho. He was also heavily engaged with the creation of the Idaho Broadband Dig Once and Right-of-Way Act.
Ramón earned his J.D. from the University of Idaho – College of Law and graduated from Boise State University with a B.A., cum laude, in Political Science with an emphasis in Political Philosophy. He is a third generation Idahoan and has a love for all things rodeo, sports, outdoor recreation and building his ranchette from the ground-up in NW Boise.
