Paul Breakman is the Vice President of Americas Partners & Business Development at Adtran, where he leads the partner ecosystem, including Channel Partners, Industry/Technology alliances, and Association partnerships. With over 25 years of experience in utility, telecommunications, and leadership, Paul drives strategic growth and ensures Adtran’s leadership in telecommunications and broadband communications.

Paul focuses on advancing Adtran’s Channel Partners program, enhancing partner engagement, and optimizing the partner experience. Additionally, he cultivates strong Industry/Technology alliances and partners with key players in the telecom and utility sectors to drive innovation and meet evolving customer needs. In his work with Association partners, Paul influences policy and supports industry growth, advocating for digital inclusion and equity in broadband initiatives.

Before joining Adtran in June 2023, Paul had an extensive background serving rural electric cooperatives, including roles at the National Rural Electric Association. He began his career as a lawyer in Washington DC, specializing in serving municipal utilities and electric cooperatives.

Paul holds a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, and a law degree from Tulane. His specialties include Energy & Business Strategies, Administrative & Regulatory Law, Telecom & Energy Policy, and Mountain Biking.
