Misti Willock

Commnet/Sacred Wind/Ethos Broadband: Vice President Broadband Business Development

Misti Willock has over 25 years of proven success in telecommunications sales and managing high-level stakeholders for a variety of broadband initiatives. She currently leads a team of Broadband Business Development Directors dedicated to expanding broadband throughout rural and tribal areas Nevada, Colorado, and New Mexico. She has extensive experience as a sales engineer managing Hosted VoIP, SDWAN, cloud, and transport products. She has in-depth knowledge of middle mile and last mile infrastructure development for enterprise business and residential customers. During her tenure at Sacred Wind, Ms. Willock has been able to secure major funding for various broadband construction projects to extend high-speed internet access to rural unserved and underserved communities in New Mexico. She is well-versed in preparing responses to complex broadband-related RFPs, RFBs and RFIs to promote internet, voice and network services for rural areas. Ms. Willock has been particularly successful in expanding connectivity among rural businesses and rural schools and has developed a reputation for being at the forefront of leaders who are making a positive impact on ensuring digital equity for rural communities. She has served as a panelist on the subject matter of “Connecting the Unconnected” at the invitation of U.S. Senator Tom Udall and was also on the “Bold Moves in Broadband” panel for the New Mexico Technology Council, where she presented her expertise on bridging the digital divide for rural communities. In December of 2020, Misti earned the Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School online. Ms. Willock currently serves on the Board of Directors and as Secretary on the Executive Committee for New Mexico Technology Council.
