Greg Conte
Texas Broadband Development Office: Director
Greg Conte has served as the director of the Texas Broadband Development Office (BDO) since its inception in 2021. Tasked with closing the digital divide in Texas, the BDO supports infrastructure buildouts and expands digital opportunities in the state. As a committed public servant, Conte has extensive professional experience that intersect with public administration, project management and economic development policies. He has held various positions in other organizations, including roles within municipal government and public sector consulting, ultimately bringing value directly to the communities they serve. Originally from New England, Conte made his move to Texas while on active duty in the U.S. Army and has since developed a strong admiration for the state’s charm, inclusiveness and pride. Now he considers the Lone Star State his home with his wife and two children. Conte received his undergraduate degree from Boston University and holds multiple graduate degrees from The University of Texas System.
