Erica Myers
SpaceX: Senior Manager for Global Government Affairs
Erica Myers is the senior manager for Global Government Affairs at SpaceX. She focuses primarily on Starlink projects with federal, tribal, state, and local governments in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Prior to joining SpaceX, she served as Business Operations and Program Management Lead for Microsoft’s Airband Initiative where she directed broadband network deployment projects with strategic partners, and focused on digital transformation projects, digital skilling, broadband access, digital equity, and adoption, among other issues. One of her priorities was driving connectivity projects that impact historically disadvantaged groups, including Native American tribes, migrant workers, and African-Americans in the rural south.
Prior to Microsoft, her work focused on federal broadband funding programs, broadband regulatory policy, and program administration. She worked at the Universal Service Administrative Company from 2016 to 2019, serving as Deputy General Counsel and Senior Director of Compliance and Risk. As Deputy General Counsel, she oversaw day to day management of the legal department, legal affairs and all related workstreams, providing strategic support to attorneys and Vice-Presidents concerning finance, internal audit, law enforcement, human resources, and IT, as well as administrative and compliance issues for the four USF programs and contributions. She began her telecommunications career at the Federal Communications Commission where she served from 2000 to 2016 as Senior Attorney Advisor supporting multiple bureaus and divisions on telecommunications and broadband policy including the Telecommunications Access Policy Division during 2006-2015. Erica received a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and a B.A. in History and Political Science, with honors, from Williams College.
