Dean Lundell began his career working for the Larry H Miller Sports and Entertainment Group. He served as the Controller for the Delta Center for three years and then for one year as the Controller for the Jordan Commons Megaplex Theatres in Sandy.

His career in government began with the City of South Jordan in 2001, where he worked for 9 years in the positions of Senior Accountant, City Treasurer, and Finance Director. Dean later served as the Finance Director for Pleasant Grove City and Cottonwood Heights. He is currently the Finance Director for Lehi City, where he has been since February 2018.

Dean has significant experience in the issuance of tax-exempt debt, both in municipal bonds and capital leases. Lehi City is currently constructing an open-access fiber network with an anticipated completion date of Spring 2026. The network was financed through a series of franchise and sales tax bonds.

Dean graduated from Brigham Young University in 1996 with a Master Degree in accounting. He is also a licensed CPA in the state of Utah.
