David Zumwalt has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. David currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at WISPA since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Principal at ZHI Services, Inc. from January 2015 onwards, where they provided growth strategy and interim chief executive services for various institutions. From October 2018 to April 2022, David served as the Chief Operating Officer at BROADBAND VI LLC, overseeing operations for a major Internet Service Provider in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Before that, David held the position of CEO/Executive Director at UVI Research & Technology Park from November 2005 to December 2014. David also served as the CEO/President (interim CEO while serving on the Board) at Privacy, Inc. from 2003 to 2005, and as the COO/Acting President (interim COO while serving on the Board) at Go-Comm, Inc. from 2001 to 2002.
David’s earlier experience includes working as CEO/Chairman at CNet, Inc. from November 1985 to January 1997, where they led the development of operational support systems and network management software for the wireless telecommunications industry. David also served as the VP of the Mobile Communications Division at Compucon from June 1981 to October 1985.
David Zumwalt attended Rice University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. David has also received additional certifications, including Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America and Registered Professional Engineer from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
