Rise Broadband: Chief Technology Officer
Bret Westwood currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Rise Broadband, providing strategic leadership over technology and network deployment of fiber and wireless across Rise’s 16-state footprint.
With a career spanning over 25 years, Mr. Westwood has led engineering, construction, and operations for internet service networks since 1997 and wireless and fiber networks since 2004. He has held significant roles at Google Fiber, deploying FTTH in Utah (Salt Lake City and Provo), and Vivint Wireless, where he pioneered high-throughput fixed wireless strategies. Before and after his roles at Google and Vivint, Mr. Westwood has served in various senior capacities at Rise Broadband managing technical operations, technology and network deployment.
Mr. Westwood holds two degrees from the University of Utah: an MBA and a Master of Arts in English.
