Bob Knight is a broadband industry marketing executive and a public official. He is the Chief Executive Officer at Harry –– an integrated marketing agency in Armonk, New York with a client base in telecommunications, economic development, government, and healthcare. He is widely considered the nation’s leading expert in community and stakeholder engagement for fiber-broadband deployments and for driving Harry’s work in successful customer acquisitions for internet service providers.
In the public sector, Bob is serving his eighth term as a Commissioner of Economic & Community Development, Town of Ridgefield, Connecticut where he led the Town’s pandemic Business and Jobs Recovery Subcommittee. He represented Ridgefield on the State of Connecticut’s Region 5 Long-Term Recovery Committee.
He is the Board Secretary for the American Association for Public Broadband (AAPB) in Washington, DC and the co-chair for the Public Officials Committee of the Fiber Broadband Association representing 150+ cities, towns, counties, and state agencies. Since 2021, he has served as a Chairman of the Broadband Communities Summit in Houston, TX. Bob also sits on the Regional Plan Association of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut’s Connecticut Committee.
Earlier in his career, Bob was a top-rated radio air personality and programmer. Notably, in 2000, he replaced Ryan Seacrest at K101 in San Francisco, then served as Director of Operations and Programming for NextMedia Chicago where he co-hosted “The Morning Beat with Jeff and Bobby.”
