Anthony V. Montoya is the CEO of fivebyfive, a Veteran and Minority owned firm focused on telecommunications engineering, network buildouts, services, services management and staff augmentation, with customers including tier one telecommunications carriers and cable operators, to major DOD commands.

Mr. Montoya began his career in the Cable Television industry, focused on strategically growing from video products, to broadband and telecommunications services, culminating with the formation of Sprint PCS, where he was a member of the startup team, and held numerous executive positions.

As a seasoned entrepreneurial leader, Mr. Montoya founded and ran a number of Companies in the telecommunications industry including Defense Mobile, an MVNO focused on the Active and Veteran communities, The Avanza Group, a Spanish-language digital acquisition agency and Movida Communications, an MVNO targeting the U.S. Spanish-speaking population.  As an independent consultant and mobile industry leader, he has worked with numerous firms across the spectrum moving their products and services into the mobile space, most notable, leading various efforts to commercially launch Xfinity Mobile, Spectrum Mobile and most recently, Cox Mobile.

Mr. Montoya, a recent graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Latino Entrepreneurship program, holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Engineering and Business Administration from the University of Colorado, and is a graduate of the Telecommunications Program at the University of Denver. He is Spanish and English fluent and a retired U.S. Army officer, as well as a Desert Shield/Desert Storm veteran, and an active member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO/YPO Gold).
