Broadband Development Conference

Kevin Driscoll

Netceed, Senior Vice President

Kevin Driscoll, SVP of Sales at Netceed, has spent his 29-year career helping service providers construct optical transport, optical-radio access, and IP networks.   Building upon the foundation of his early career leading soldiers in the US Army, Kevin cut his teeth with the introduction of SONET in 1997 followed by turnkey DWDM, OTN Packet Optical, 3G, LTE, 5G RAN and Undersea Cable network deployments over the next two and half decades with companies such as Tellabs, Fujitsu, ECI, and Ribbon.  Following this he pivoted to systems integration full time, divorcing himself from the specific brand of a solution and more focused on what was the best technology and fit for each service provider/application at Lightriver. Several years ago, Kevin joined the leadership of Netceed and began learning about the passive devices which make up the physical fiber optic networks built for access, middle mile, data center interconnect and scale across networks. Given his passion for the network and success of its operators, expect to see him volunteering his learned experiences on technology committees and with professional organizations dedicated to innovation in Middle Mile, Precision Agriculture, Optical Access, and AI Infrastructure as well as shaping associated Public Policy. In his free time Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife of 30 years and their three adult children.

Pluggable Optic Innovation Improves Access Architectures

Learn how you can extend remote OLTs deeper into the network while at the same time saving money on optical transport. Taking advantage of new pluggable coherent optics can change the rural fiber broadband network architecture, saving capital costs of both the active optical transport and outside plant material. Hear directly from a service provider as well as the innovator of this technology.
