Jordan Gross is the Director of Government Affairs for Lumen Technologies where he advocates for policies that support expansion of long-haul fiber deployment. Jordan has been serving as a co-chair of the public policy committee at FBA for the last several years. Before joining Lumen, Jordan worked for fiber manufacturer Corning Incorporated where he led their efforts on the BEAD program and Build America, Buy America. Before joining the broadband industry, Jordan worked on a range of tech policy issues including autonomous vehicles, drones, and the sharing economy first for the US Chamber of Commerce and later for a consumer technology manufacturer.
A candid, on-the-ground perspective on the barriers fiber providers face as they work to meet growing compute and power demands — including permitting delays, rights-of-way challenges, environmental reviews, workforce constraints, and inconsistencies across federal, state, and local processes. We’ll connect broadband deployment policy directly to critical infrastructure protection, cybersecurity resilience, and long-term economic competitiveness.
