Dr. Cheryl D. Calhoun serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Community College Baccalaureate Association, where she advocates for affordable, career-focused bachelor’s degree pathways that open doors for adult, working, and place-bound learners. Before taking on this national leadership role, she was Provost at Arapahoe Community College, where she helped guide instructional strategy and innovation in ways that responded to both student goals and workforce needs. Over more than 30 years in community colleges and nonprofit organizations, Dr. Calhoun has helped build workforce-aligned programs, stackable credentials, work-based learning opportunities, and employer partnerships that connect education more directly to regional labor-market needs. She also brings deep experience in information technology, cybersecurity, and digital learning, which has shaped her work creating pathways into high-demand technical fields.
