Jay Rolls

Broadband Success Partners: Chief Technology Officer

Jay Rolls is the Chief Technology Officer of Broadband Success Partners. He was the SVP & Chief Technology Officer at Charter Communications from 2011 to 2019. During that time, he and his team had the responsibility for Engineering & Architecture across all aspects of Charter’s wireline business. Broadband Success Partners specializes in supporting Digital Infrastructure Investors and Service Providers with their M&A activities, including technical and operations due diligence.

Previously, Mr. Rolls served in a variety of roles during 13 years at Cox Communications including SVP of Technology. At Pacific Broadband he was the VP of Business Development and in 1999 and 2000 he served as the VP of Network Engineering at Excite@Home. Earlier in his career, Mr. Rolls spent nine years in Germany with Alcatel and BBN Communications (now part of Level3/CenturyLink). He began his career working in the US defense and intelligence communities.

Mr. Rolls received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a M.S. in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
