The Impact of Future Technologies on Network Delivery

August 10 – 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm
Quandary Peak 1

The future will be here before we know it.  Extended Reality (XR), a blend of Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR),  and Mixed Reality (MR) technologies will require an exponential increase in bandwidth at the home.  Symmetrical, low latency speeds will be essential to support these technologies.

Currently, the broadband market is being disrupted as bandwidth is commoditized.  This, coupled with the demands of XR, will push speed requirements in excess of 1/1 Gbps to meet the coming demand.  This session will explore the challenges of meeting the requirements of XR technologies, which are close to becoming a common reality.

Join this session and gain insight why it’s important to design and build broadband networks that meet today’s needs as well as the capabilities of tomorrow!
