Telemedicine: Use, Experience, and Perspectives
May 24 – 10:00 am to 10:45 am
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, telemedicine was often discussed in the future tense. While the state of Colorado has worked for years to increase access, many of the greatest shifts in telemedicine use happened in early 2020, when the virus changed the way we live, work, and get care. According to the Colorado Health Institute’s 2021 Colorado Health Access Survey, more than a third of state residents used telemedicine last year, and most say they’re likely to use it in the future. This session will take a closer look at who uses telemedicine, who doesn’t, and how patients feel about the potential of these new technologies.
