June 25th – 4:15 pm to 5:00 pm
Grays Peak 2

The Center of Excellence for Advanced Technology (CoE) is the research and development branch of Colorado’s state fire management agency. A key goal of the CoE is to help firefighters and other first responders utilize emerging technologies to maintain their situational awareness when in the field. These technologies include drones, fire prediction systems, and common operating picture apps for mobile devices. The CoE has deployed all of these technologies on public safety incidents, and will share lessons learned and insight into the challenges and opportunities of connecting first responders in the rugged environment of Colorado.
