The Largest Rural Fiber Project in Colorado!

August 11 – 10:30 am to 11:15 am
Quandary Peak 2

Colorado is a state that is continuously searching for and finding unique ways to bridge the digital divide. The recent RDOF auction was the catalyst for a $190 million multi-gigabit fiber-to-the-home deployment that will serve over 50,000 members of Mountain View Electric Association (MVEA).

Mountain View Electric Association is a shining example that wherever electric cooperatives built electric line, it is possible to build fiber. For the economic vitality of rural America, it is both necessary and financially feasible to build fiber networks to every rural home and business.

In this session you will learn how MVEA plans to build nearly 5,800 miles of fiber to deliver multi-gigabit broadband to 100% of their membership via a unique partnership with Conexon Connect.  In this partnership model, Conexon Connect will be the ISP and will lease fiber access from MVEA to offer multi-gigabit broadband to every MVEA member. This connectivity will enable applications for these communities such as telehealth, online education, commerce as well as work from home.

Join us in this session to learn more about this unique partnership model, how it helps bridge the digital divide and how it might benefit your community.
