The Adaptive Network: Helping Community Networks Become Faster, Efficient and Secure
October 27 – 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm
Community networks are under enormous pressure to be faster, efficient, secure and closer to the constituents they serve. Whether connecting “smart” applications, combining fiber assets, or enabling dense 5G connectivity, community networks must become more resilient, available, automated and secure. In short, community networks must become more “adaptable”.
In this session Ciena’s head of Adaptive IP Marketing Vini Santos will highlight the key trends driving the need to evolve community networks, and present Ciena’s vision of a more Adaptive Network for communities. He will then show a specific use case , “Adaptive IP” provides a roadmap for communities to evolve their IP networks to support the low-latency, real-time, dynamic capacity needs demanded by citizens, anchor institutions and agencies.
He will also cite examples of how customers like CDOT, XCEL Energy and Northwest Colorado Council of Governments, have started the journey towards Adaptive IP and an Adaptive Network.
