Telecommunications Program Manager, Wyoming Department of Transportation
Troy Babbitt is the Telecommunications Program Manager with the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT). His role provides reliable telecommunications for public safety and transportation efficiency. This includes voice, data and video information across telephone, microwave and mobile radio infrastructure.
Previously, Babbitt was the Broadband Enterprise Architect with the Department of Enterprise Services (ETS), for the State of Wyoming. He assisted with the expansion of broadband connectivity across the state with Internet Service Providers. Projects included 1) the Wyoming Unified Network (WUN) for schools, districts and state agencies 2) designated as the State’s single point of contact for the National Public Safety Network known as FirstNet 3) assisted WYDOT and service providers, new fiber access routes in the Interstate Right-Of-Way corridors 4) assisted with Governor Mead’s annual Broadband Summits and 5) speaking engagements - educating statewide leaders and public of Broadband importance, status and future opportunities.
