President, Kielkopf Advisory Services

Todd Kielkopf is the President of Kielkopf Advisory Services, contracting with Smart Source Consulting to provide community broadband studies and to advise on implementation strategies. Todd has over 20 years of experience in the areas of municipal broadband and community development as a consultant, General Manager and CFO. Areas of consulting include utility economic development, strategic and business development planning, and financial modeling. In these roles, he has led the establishment of public/private partnerships and a municipal FTTP network providing Gigabit service to businesses and residents. Todd is also engaged in the entrepreneurial and innovation aspects of economic development, serving Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa as Executive Director of the Emerge Foundation, coordinating their entrepreneurial development program, and teaching classes on entrepreneurial concepts and applied investment portfolio analysis. Todd has held public-sector board leadership roles at NMPP Energy, the Iowa Energy Center, and the Iowa Municipal Finance Officers Association.

Todd holds a M.S. degree in Business Administrative Sciences from Iowa State University and a B.A. degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Northern Iowa.
