Chief of Staff, NTIA
Glenn Reynolds is the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Commerce Department’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), which is the agency primarily responsible for advising the President on telecommunications and information policy issues. In this role, Mr. Reynolds provides both policy-making and operational support to the Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information. NTIA’s programs focus on expanding broadband Internet access and adoption in America, managing the federal use of spectrum and expanding spectrum availability for both government and commercial uses, and ensuring that the Internet remains an engine for continued innovation and economic growth.
Mr. Reynolds joined NTIA in 2014 from the USTelecom Association, where he was Vice President for Policy. Prior to that, he served in a similar role for BellSouth Telecommunications. From 1996-2001, Mr. Reynolds worked at the Federal Communications Commission where he held several roles relating to implementation of the Telecommunications Act of 1996, including Deputy Chief of what is now the Wireline Competition Bureau. He also worked at the law firm of Patton Boggs, where he specialized in antitrust and consumer protection law.
Mr. Reynolds earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Virginia.
