Doug is a proven marketing professional with more than 20 years experience developing and fostering brands from the ground floor to national prominence.
Specializing in services and technology, Doug has developed strategies, communications and marketing efforts across the U.S. with significant accomplishments within the broadband industry, including work in large metro areas including Cleveland, Chicago, and Seattle. As VP of Communications for broadband economist Strategic Networks Group, Doug has helped develop the Small Business Growth Program and overseen its statewide deployment in Georgia, Nebraska, and Arkansas. Currently Doug is developing a communications plan for Pitkin County, CO.
Doug founded The Think Agency (www.thethinkagency.com) in 2010, aiming to establish a different kind of marketing firm. One that prides itself on providing a high level of professional help from highly talented, highly flexible individuals with years of experience in a variety of marketing disciplines.
Prior to founding Think, Doug served as Director of Marketing for OneCommunity and the Knight Center of Digital Excellence where he oversaw strategy and execution of marketing, communications, public relations and brand initiatives.
Doug hails from Indianapolis but has spent much of his career in the New York metro area where he helped drive startup InsightExpress from bankruptcy to the largest online custom research firm in the U.S.

Doug received his M.B.A. in marketing from the University of Connecticut and holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from DePauw University.
